I am a NJB, 5' 11''. mid-thirties, blue eyes, black hair,no facial hair, good shape but not muscular, banker with GS and definitely like women blonde with blue eyes. but not into one 'type'. I drink moderately and never enough to end up the next dawn with my trousers rolled-up standing in Sloane Square with a glass of Champagne in my hand. This would imply that the previous night's date had long gone home out of boredom or frustration

Have not been to Temple (Synagogue) since I was Barmitzvah'd and went to Israel once when I was 15 to pick melons on a Kibbutz in Gallilee where I got to know nice Israeli girls who were very friendly. I admire the 'Church' from an architectural viewpoint. Went to School at a day private school and then London University and Columbia Business School in New York City. My two favourite towns are New York City and London. I hate anything Sloaney (which also seems to have an undercurrent of antisemitism) but I have mastered my English education enough to sound English whilst thinking Yiddish. I find Public School (UK) Preppy (US) types boring. Don't like shooting or fishing and as far as Annabelles goes, I prefer to have fun above ground. I don't care if I never go to a Ball and I like my invitations by phone or in person and never on an embossed card, unless it is a wedding or a Barmitzvah.

The 'Palace' is the the place where I turn right on the way home after dinner in the City. The Mall and Park Lane would make a great Formula 1 race course and the winning car could be flagged in by the Monarch from her balcony. Unfortunately there is always a member of the Metropolitan Police to give me a speeding ticket when I try to see how quickly my car will go 0-60 down the Mall. Gentleman's Clubs are an ananchronism and poor value for money unless you play squash on a regular basis. I don't belong to any. I read the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Hello, and lastly, the Mail because I want to know what everyone else is reading and it's entertaining. I have no political affiliations. Don't believe in military service e.g. Queen's Royal Lancers or in the USA, the Marines. Far too dangerous. However, for a good cause I would volunteer. Don't wear hats and don't use umbrellas. i buy one if I get caught or catch a taxi.

I like my women to be beautiful, 5'6 to 5'10' and to dress more Vogue than Tatler or Harper's & Queens. I like them to wear shoes with high heels such as Jimmy Chou and Manolo Blanik and fashion designers such as Chanel, Gucci, D&G, Prada, Valentino. Esacada is old lady and Hermes is nice but very old money. Husky, Burberry and Barbour are definitely out. I personally would never wear an 'English-Cut' suit or paisley pattern neck wear and I love Italian ties with a thick knot such as Pal Zileri and of course Marinella. Pants (trousers) should be flat panel without a cuff. Pinstripes should be slightly adventurous. I would never dream of wearing velvet slippers for a dinner party at home. Unless you are Daniel Craig, I think 'black-tie' usually signifies an activity in which I am forced to share a table with people I don't like and have never met for almost as long as it takes to fly from London to New York.

Coats of Arms belong on Ralph Lauren or Michael Jackson. I like my initials on my cuff and never on cufflinks or shoes. I prefer simple shirts often without cuffs or ties. My idea of a good night out is a one-on-one dinner with somebody who I find sexy, stylish and intelligent and with whom conversation is effortless. A night together afterwards is a perfect dessert or pudding as the English call it. Anything food or wine that tastes good is usually not from England. There is no point ordering a burger in London. the meat just doesn't taste right. I always have to get a burger fix when I get back to New York. I also miss coffee shops and Diners when I am out of the States.

Weekends would be in a romantic hotel somewhere west of Terminal 5. I currently live in South Kensington and New York. I hope this gives you some impression of my general likes and dis-likes. If you see anything in the above which amuses you or strikes a cord, write back.

Regards

Simon

Appropriate Wellington Boots for SC's. The best 'wellies' are black by Chanel and currently at Saks and only $350. These look great on a wet day when entertaining friends on the 'property'. They will mark you indelibly as not a Sloane type so that nobody could make any polite mistakes. They look great and are utterly unsuitable for anything practical such as point-to-point or farming. The Hunter type, if you own them, can be bought at Carrefours in France for 10 Euro and look great when walking the dog at night in something transparent.
